In his book “The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible“, Charles Eisenstein suggests that we open our eyes and take an honest look at the state of the world in order to be grounded in reality. This is the only thing that will empower us to make a difference. Without looking away or hiding our head in the sand, there is a possibility for moving forward.
On January 14 & 16, 2017, Charles gave an inspiring talk and workshop at the Besant Lodge in Hollywood to help launch The BirdHouse, an organization in dedicated to promoting community through the arts and the art of wellbeing.
Charles posed the following questions. If science has solutions to help us survive after we’ve ravaged the environment, is that a good thing? No longer forced to make a change, we might ask ourselves if we want to live in a purely functional, utilitarian and technically habitable world. What if the protection of our planet was a choice made from a desire to live in a more beautiful world?
