The Way of Alan Watts

“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.” – Alan Watts

Alan Watts

Alan Watts was a vibrant and articulate author and lecturer. His book, “The Wisdom of Insecurity” offers a liberating perspective on the ‘age of anxiety’ in which we currently live. From the 1950’s until his death in the early 1970’s, Watts spoke in front of thousands of people, leaving behind a treasure trove of funny, irreverent and inspiring recorded lectures which can be explored here for free (although some of the YouTube links no longer work). Surprisingly relevant today, Watts not only helps spark profound insights, he keeps you laughing along the way. Follow this link for 101 Alan Watts quotes.
